She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 1994 and, although she lost, she was nominated again in 1995 and won in the Younger Leading Actress category. Although she had given the producers 6 months notice of her decision to leave the show, she made her decision public the day after the Emmy win. After 2 ½ years, Sarah left the set of AMC and moved to California to seek new fame in films or TV.

In 1996, Sarah was picked as the lead of a new series called Buffy the Vampire Slayer based on the movie by the same name. Warner Brothers bought 13 episodes of the show, and although ratings of the pilot were the highest ever of any of the WB lineup, it ranked 100th out of 107 programs in the Nielson ratings. Warner Brothers renewed the show for another 22 episodes which began airing September 15th, 1997.

In June of 1997, Sarah finished shooting I Know What You Did Last Summer which stars her and Jennifer Love Hewitt as teens who try to cover up a hit and run. It was released on October 17th and became number one that weekend, earning a profit in just two days. Shortly after filming IKWYDLS, Sarah flew down to Atlanta, GA to film Scream 2, which had the largest December opening of a film and made more money in it's first weekend than the other top 9 films combined.

In October, Sarah was honored with a Woman of The Year Award by Glamour Magazine during their Annual Women of The Year Awards.

In 2003, after 7 successful seasons of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", Sarah Michelle Gellar called it quits. She then focused on several projects, including Scooby Doo 2 and The Grudge, both of which were released in 2004. Sarah has decided to move on to movies but still looks back fondly on her years on Buffy. Seth actually got his start in commercials as a child including a John Denver Album, Fruit Loops, Carl's Jr., Rally's (the origination of the catchphrase "Cha-Ching!" which still follows Seth around to this day), Wendy's, Jello Pudding Pops, Kodak, Hewlett Packard Printer, California Department of Health Services on Smoking and most recently the US Sci-Fi Channel. He graduated from Lamberton High School in 1991.

"I'm like the guy they knew from high school. People feel they know me." - Seth

Eliza lives in the Los Angeles area with Nate, the oldest of her three brothers, whom she calls her "partner in crime."

Eliza came to the attention of casting agents when she was 10. Along with her brother, she went to a commercial audition where she tripped on the stairs, got a blood nose, and became an instant drama queen. At 12, she was chosen at the end of a five month search throughout the United States for the lead role of Alice, opposite Juliette Lewis in the film That Night. In 1993, Eliza landed a role as Pearl alongside Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio in This Boy's Life, a role that she said opened a lot of doors. Eliza says that Dicaprio taught her how to deal with bullies and other high school dangers, for which she is grateful.

The following year, she played the teenage daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies. She also had parts as Paul Reiser's daughter in Bye Bye, Love, as Cindy Johnson with Halle Berry and Jim Belushi in Race the Sun, as well as roles in a television movie and a short film.

Eliza took some time off from acting to finish her junior and senior years of high school. She was accepted to the George Washington and Suffolk Universities in Boston.

Though initially planned as a five episode role, the character became so popular that she stayed on for the entirety of the third season. She has also made guest appearances in Buffy's spin-off, Angel.

Because of her convincing role as a sociopath, she became an icon to many criminals. She was inundated with piles of fan mail from legions of prisoners.

In 2000, she starred with Kirsten Dunst in the cheerleader comedy Bring It On, which was a surprising success at the box office that spawned a sequel. Kevin Smith invited her to be a part of his final adventure for his two characters, Jay and Silent Bob, in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, where Eliza co-starred with Shannon Elizabeth, Ali Larter, Ben Affleck, and others. After this, Eliza starred in Soul Survivors, opposite Ben Affleck's brother Casey, followed by a role in The New Guy.

Eliza then returned to work with Robert De Niro and director Michael Caton-Jones in City by the Sea, playing James Franco's junkie girlfriend and mother of his child. The film garnered attention from a wider adult audience and several good reviews.
